Summary
Daniel Beard is a vastly experienced junior in the fields of Competition, European Community, Human Rights, Public and Administrative, State Aid, Telecommunications law and Utilities Regulation. He is widely regarded as one of the Bar's leading juniors in these areas.
He has appeared in many landmark cases in the European Court of Justice, Court of First Instance, House of Lords, Court of Appeal, High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal. In addition he has acted in numerous proceedings before the sectoral regulators such as the Competition Commission and Ofgem.
He is standing Counsel to the Office of Fair Trading and a member of the Attorney General's A Panel.
Daniel won 'Junior of the Year', for EU and Competition law at the Chambers Bar Awards 2009.
